There are two versions for the IELTS test.
Academic Module: It is for students who seek entry to a university or institution of higher education offering degree and diploma courses.
General Training Module: It is for students who seek entry to a secondary school, to vocational training courses or for people taking the IELTS test for immigration purposes.
The IELTS test is scored according to a 9-Band scale. You will get a score for each section. The average of these 4 section marks is your overall band score.
The total test time is 2 hours 45 minutes. The first three modules – Listening, Reading and Writing – must be completed in one day.The Speaking Module may be taken, at the test center’s discretion, in the period seven days before or after the other Modules.
We at PROSPECTS provide in-depth instructions for the Academic and General Training Modules in the four sub-tests: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. We also provide extensive practice and strategies to improve the student’s performance on all aspects of the test.
Listening: audio tracks and recording of student responses are used, creating exam-like conditions for practice.
Reading: extensive practice and strategies are imparted to help the student complete his section within the allotted time.
Writing: detailed discussions and personal sessions are conducted to help students write well organized and focused essays.
Speaking: individual practice is provided in class followed by personal guidance sessions to develop speaking skills and abilities.
There are a couple of complete practice tests in a simulated environment that promote scores to the required level.
